Building tenants don't want charter school     (World News)

AUSTIN, Texas, July 29 (UPI) -- The operators of an office building near the Texas Capitol in Austin have gone to court to evict a charter school because tenants do not want children around.

The 303 Office Condominiums Owners Association says the campus of iSchool High would mean increases in insurance rates for other occupants and that the association's rules allow businesses to be banned from the building if a reasonable person might find them "annoying," the Austin American-Statesman reported.

"Our ability to secure new business is dependent upon a professional ambience and favorable impression by the chief officers with whom we meet," Jeff Montgomery, president of The Ampersand Agency, said in an affidavit.

The school, which has another campus in Austin, selected the fifth-floor space in the office tower because it is close to the Capitol. The school curriculum is centered on media and government.

More than $100,000 has already been spent renovating the space in the tower.
